TV Work
Thorughout highschool and college working with Wild Rover Productions Ltd, a Northern Irish Independent TV company developed my passion for interactive TV and video technologies in general. My show credits include Would You Pass the 11+?, Get Smarter in a Week and The Big Bumper Science Quiz.
For many shows I have been in charge of live audience interaction via SMS, interactive TV and the web. A very small claim to fame is that I innovated the use of SMS for texting the actual answers into shows. This was used on the BBC's "Test the Nation" as well as Would You Pass the 11+?
I have also been intimately involved with developing Secret Fortune, which airs on BBC One in February 2011. I created an awesome gameshow demo platform in Adobe Air to help with this.
Coding
I code mainly in Actionscript for Flash/Flex and Adobe Air. I also know my way around Java, python and enough C to code for gstreamer
My open source actionscript 3.0 xlsx Excel spreadsheet reader is now available under an MIT license over at my github. You can read about the gameshow project this came from here
I am in the process of converting my archive of flash work for display on this site.
Constant Comedy LLP

I was one of the founders of constantcomedy.com. I worked with two companies to pitch for 250,000 GBP in seed-funding from the Northern Irish government, was the lead designer of the creative and technical elements of the project, acted as product manager of the build, and managed a team of developers in different time zones. My direct coding work involved building a Java server-side application and a user facing Flash client for synchronizing video across simultaneously watching clients and allowing the clients to vote live on videos in a 'gong show' format.
The site was nominated for the 2007 Media Guardian innovation award.
Debating Work
I have been involved in producing comedy videos and technical demos for the Manchester Debating Union's tournaments since 2006. The work has included SMS scrollers, interactive videos and more recently a 3d tournament listings engine.
I also produced short videos for the 2009 European Debating Finals
